In today's Sound Bank, I take my mini keyboard to the airport to play a "rondo variation" piece I wrote. I plan to write a series of 1-2 minute long pieces based on themes, forms, or motifs requested by you all.
In today's Sound Bank, I take my Yamaha Reface CP to the beach to play a perky fugue that I wrote this week. I very briefly go over how I wrote the fugue using some traditional compositional techniques, and include some other random footage as always.
In today's Sound Bank "Minimalism on the Streets," I take my Yamaha Reface CP to the street corner to improvise on a theme submitted to me by Timon de Nood. I use the delay effect and chose to take the piece in a minimalistic direction.
Today I play some twelve-tone music in the airport terminal. I briefly overview the process of writing a composition with the twelve-tone technique, and some of my remarks on how I adjusted the rules to my liking.
For this week's Sound Bank 11, I wrote a short piece inspired by the the Prélude from Ravel's Le Tombeau de Couperin and recorded it while going through the car wash. Vehicle safety was kept a priority, not to worry... Thank you to Camilo Jiménez for suggesting this compositional idea.
